I'm Rebecca — a Level 7 qualified dyslexia assessor, specialist teacher, SENDCo and inclusion consultant with over twenty-five years’ experience in education.
Through detailed insight and practical recommendations, I help individuals, families, schools and workplaces understand strengths, identify barriers and create the right support for success.

My approach to assessment is centred around understanding the individual behind the profile. A diagnosis is not the end point — it is the beginning of a clearer understanding of strengths, challenges and the strategies that can make a meaningful difference.
With a background spanning teaching, inclusion and specialist assessment, I bring together practical classroom experience and evidence-informed diagnostic knowledge to provide assessments that are both thorough and supportive.
Having taught in the UK, South Africa and Sweden, I have seen the impact that the right support can have when it is personalised to the individual.
Alongside my Hertfordshire base, Cornwall holds a special place in my life. With family roots in Padstow, I offer face-to-face assessments there during the school holidays, as well as online support.

What does the assessment process look like?
It starts with a telephone call, followed by background questionnaires, the assessment itself, then report writing and a feedback meeting. I'm with you for the whole process and adapt each step to what's needed. I'm happy to explain this in more detail during a free 30-minute consultation.
How long does a diagnostic assessment take?
A full assessment typically takes around 3 hours, with extra breaks always available if needed.
Do you offer online assessments?
Yes — online assessments are available, alongside in-person sessions in Hertfordshire and during school holidays, Cornwall
Is your report accepted for DSA and exam access arrangements?
Reports are written to current SASC guidelines, suitable for Disabled Students Allowance applications, JCQ approved exam access arrangements and EHCP evidence.
What age groups do you assess?
I assess children from around age 7, to young people and adults, including university students and workplace clients.
How much does an assessment cost?
