What does the assessment process look like?
It starts with a telephone call, followed by background questionnaires, the assessment itself, then report writing and a feedback meeting. I'm with you for the whole process and adapt each step to what's needed. I'm happy to explain this in more detail during a free 30-minute consultation.
How long does a diagnostic assessment take?
A full assessment typically takes around 3 hours, with extra breaks always available if needed. An assessment can take place either at my home (AL2 or PL28) or I can travel to a setting where you feel most comfortable.
Do you offer online assessments?
Yes — online assessments are available, alongside in-person sessions in Hertfordshire and during school holidays, Cornwall
Is your report accepted for DSA and exam access arrangements?
Reports are written to current SASC guidelines, suitable for Disabled Students Allowance applications, JCQ approved exam access arrangements and EHCP evidence.
What age groups do you assess?
I assess children from around age 7, to young people and adults, including university students and workplace clients.
How much does an assessment cost?
A full diagnostic dyslexia assessment at my home is £560 which includes an initial consultation, assessment, report and final consultation. This can be paid in two instalments if preferred.
